The main components are silver and other alloying elements, such as copper, zinc, tin, etc. Its chemical composition is basically the same as that of silver solder sheets and silver solder rods, with the only difference being its physical form—it is in powder.
Silver solder powder features uniform particle size, good fluidity and high activity. It can melt quickly during the brazing process, fill the weld gap, and form a good metallurgical bond with the welded parts.
It is mainly used in processes like flame brazing and vacuum brazing. It can be mixed with an appropriate flux according to different welding processes and welded part requirements to improve welding quality. For example, in the welding of cemented carbide tools, silver solder powder, when mixed with flux, can firmly weld the cemented carbide insert to the tool body.
